"Echu," meaning "shining mountain" in Tibetan, is located north of the Yading Nature Reserve, on the edge of Mount Gongga, 25 kilometers from Riwa Township. Standing 5,140 meters above sea level, the mountain stands tall and majestic, its height heightening its grandeur. Its height, however, remains graceful, like a beautiful fairy seated amidst the clouds.
Winding up from the canyon, what comes into view are the layers of shrub forests, alternating between red, yellow and green, colorful and dazzling; the red is gorgeous, the yellow is bright, and the green is soft, covering the mountains and fields. It can be said that "heavy makeup and light makeup are always suitable", and the autumn colors along the way are intoxicating.
Mount Ochu is particularly captivating with its October scenery. When the first frosts of October descend upon the peaks and valleys of Mount Ochu, the forests and pine forests below the snowline transform into a vibrant autumn attire. Mount Ochu resembles a bride, draped in a sacred hada and adorned in vibrant autumn attire. From the summit, the view of the three sacred mountains of Aden is breathtaking.
The most beautiful season in the Echu Mountains occurs from mid-September to early October. The golden yellow of the poplars, the pale yellow of the larch, the vibrant red of the maples, and the deep green of the fir and spruce intertwine. The vibrant yellow, the delicate red, and the harmonious green create a vibrant, dreamlike display. As the autumn wind blows, the leaves of the poplars sway across the mountains, reflecting the sunlight like stars, creating a truly spectacular spectacle. This is how the phrase "Shining Mountain" came to be.
