Swan Lake, at an altitude of 2,905 meters, connects to the lower reaches of Caohai Lake. Much of the vast lake has been silted up into shallows, half swampy. The shallows are covered with lush green grass, and a clear stream meanders through the greenery, nourishing the aquatic plants.
Swan Lake lies quietly in the valley, its surface shimmering with a crystalline hue. Surrounded by lush green mountains and flourishing trees, the lakeshore is thickly forested with fir trees, and the shallows are teeming with flowers and grasses, creating an ethereal and tranquil scene. Because of the lush aquatic plants in this area, swans often inhabit and breed here, hence the name "Haizi".
However, since swans are migratory birds, they stay or leave according to the change of seasons, so it is not easy to see them here.
