Naizigou Colorful Forest Valley, named for its tranquil and secluded Naizigou Valley nestled deep in a canyon, is also known for its world of colorful forests, a truly stunning sight. With its lush vegetation, bright sunshine, and abundant oxygen, it's a natural "oxygen bar." It's one of the largest and most spectacular red leaf scenic areas currently developed and open in my country, earning the reputation of an 80-mile art gallery.
The 80-li colorful forest in Naizigou is located between the main roads from Heishui to Ma'erkang, and is connected to the Hongyuan grassland. It starts 5 kilometers away from the county seat and extends to the Yakou Snow Mountain. The 80-li canyon is full of broad-leaved forests, secondary forests and shrubs. The main tree species are shan trees, green oaks, Japanese larch, maple trees, sea buckthorns, poplars, etc.
In the golden autumn season, the mountains and forests are all dyed with colors; there are bright red, purple red, red, glutinous red, pink, golden yellow, light yellow, grass green, dark green, coffee color, and brown leaves, and there are strings of bright red and golden wild fruits. Various colors jump between the mountains and converge into a colorful world of purple and red, just like a colorful oil painting presented before your eyes.

The valley is open year-round, though the best time to visit is during autumn when the forest's colors are at their most vibrant. Spring and summer are also good, with lush greenery and blooming flowers. It's recommended to visit during the daytime, as the park does not offer nighttime activities.
The entrance fee is typically around 60-100 RMB, depending on the season. Tickets can be purchased on-site, as online booking is not common. It’s advisable to bring cash for ticket purchases.
Advanced booking is not required for Naizigou Colorful Forest Valley, but if you are visiting during peak tourist seasons (autumn), it’s recommended to book a few days in advance to ensure availability.
To fully explore Naizigou Colorful Forest Valley, allow 3-4 hours for hiking and enjoying the natural beauty. If you're interested in a more leisurely visit or photography, you might spend additional time. A full day is ideal for those wanting to explore the trails in depth.

After visiting Naizigou Colorful Forest Valley, taxis and private cars are the best way to continue your journey. Alternatively, buses can take you back to nearby towns, where you can catch a bus to Chengdu or other destinations.
