Longquan Lake, formerly known as Jianyang Shipan Reservoir, is a medium-sized reservoir built by the people of Jianyang in 1979. It is located on the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway , 38 kilometers north of Chengdu city and 28 kilometers west of Sancha Lake .
