Longquan Lake, formerly known as Jianyang Shipan Reservoir, is a medium-sized reservoir built by the people of Jianyang in 1979. It is located on the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway , 38 kilometers north of Chengdu city and 28 kilometers west of Sancha Lake .

The lake has a unique shape, like a swimming dragon, with 5.5 square kilometers of water area, 54 kilometers of lakeshore line, 14 islands of different shapes and a "Ten-mile Long Gorge" at the end of the lake. It has the beautiful charm of mountains and waters, and it is like a fairyland on earth. The scenic area is based on peach blossoms and has formed a pleasant natural landscape integrating mountains, water and plants.
