Also known as Helin Temple, it was built during the Sui Dynasty and originally named Baihe Temple. Located at the foot of Baihe Mountain in Baihe Township, Qionglai City, it covers an area of 14 mu and is a famous Buddhist monastery and tourist attraction in western Sichuan. During renovations in the first year of Shaoding in the Southern Song Dynasty (1228 AD), Wei Liaoweng inscribed a plaque reading "Helin Zen Temple."

During the Qing Dynasty, it was Helin Temple. The existing buildings, including the mountain gate, passage, second gate, front hall, and back hall, comprise five levels and five courtyards. A courtyard of monks' quarters is located to the left of the central axis. The Main Hall, rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty, houses clay sculptures of Sakyamuni himself and three incarnations. Other halls feature statues of Guanyin, Maitreya, Skanda, and the Heavenly Kings. The screen wall is approximately 10 meters high and 9 meters long. The front bears the inscription "Helin Zen Temple" in large, 2-meter-high regular script. The back is covered entirely with glazed square tiles depicting flowers and birds, with a magnificent, openwork ceramic carving of a coiled dragon playing with a pearl in the center.
