Introducing Baoguang Temple

Baoguang Temple, located in Xindu District, 18 kilometers north of Chengdu, is one of my country's oldest, largest, most well-preserved Buddhist temples, boasting a tranquil and tranquil environment. Legend has it that the temple was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, but due to insufficient historical data, this is difficult to determine. It is one of Chengdu's Ten Scenic Spots.

Baoguang Temple boasts deep and secluded halls, lush ancient trees, and five halls and sixteen courtyards that rise one after another. It is a grand temple with a rich collection of Buddhist scriptures and a large number of monks. It has been one of the "Four Great Buddhist Monasteries" in southern China since the Qing Dynasty and a famous Zen temple in Sichuan.
