Wufengxi Ancient Town is located in Jintang County, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on the banks of the Tuojiang River in the middle section of the Longquan Mountains at the junction of Jintang and Longquan in Sichuan. It is the only mountain town among Chengdu's ten major ancient towns. Wufeng Ancient Town was founded during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. The town consists of only five streets: Jinfeng Street, Qingfeng Street, Caofeng Street, Baifeng Street, and Xiaofeng Street. All five streets are named after the phoenix, hence the name Wufeng Ancient Town.
Since ancient times, Wufengxi has been a place of picturesque beauty. Five lush hills surround the town, their peaks reaching toward the sky, resembling a phoenix soaring into the sky. The town's five main streets are strategically arranged. Its topography is a natural sculpting, and its location, with the Liuxi River flowing through the town and converging with the Tuojiang River, offers unique geographical advantages. The town boasts ancient sites including Guansheng Palace, Wangye Temple, Huosheng Temple, Nanhua Palace, and Binglingdian, 1.5 kilometers away.
