Banghe and Sela lie along the Yading Highway in Daocheng County. Banghe is the name of both a river and a township. The rural scenery along the highway is captivating, with the most famous being "Sangdui Town," "Sela Morning Mist," and "Banghe Sunset."

The most thrilling thing about the river is the water beside it. Because it flows through a very flat area, in the evening, the river shimmers in the afterglow of the setting sun. Without gaps in the water, sparse and orderly poplar trees dot the picture in the most appropriate places. In a very coincidental way, smoke rises from the distant village. Sela Village is a Tibetan settlement, and being invited to a hospitable Tibetan home for food, drink and entertainment is a great honor.
