Foye Cave, located in Dakang Town, Jiangyou, Sichuan, the hometown of Li Bai, is named after a three-meter-tall natural stalactite statue of the Tathagata Buddha discovered in an underground river during the Republic of China era. The scenic area features large karst caves, underground rivers, clear streams and deep gorges, grasslands and forests, and rocky mountains and seas. A rich tapestry of folklore imbues the area with a magical atmosphere.

The Foye Cave Scenic Area preserves strata dating back 410 million years, including carbonate rocks, pyroclastic rocks, and abundant paleontological fossils.
