Yuetuo Island, a sand island in the Bohai Bay southwest of Leting County, covers a land area of 10.5 square kilometers and is named for its resemblance to a crescent moon. Located 4.8 kilometers from shore, Yuetuo Island is well-enclosed. Shrubs and flowers and wild fruits exude a delicate fragrance. This nearly enclosed natural environment is rarely disturbed or damaged by human intervention, preserving its pristine ecological landscape.
It is considered one of the eight most beautiful islands in China and ranks third.
Hundreds of species of birds, in their thousands, nest and breed here. Seagulls soar in the blue sky, wild ducks stroll on the water, white eagles soar with a soaring gaze, and white and black storks leisurely enjoy their leisure. It truly is "vast expanses of clear blue water, hundreds of birds soar and sing, fragrant grasses and wildflowers blend into the sparse woods, and winding bridges connect wooden pavilions."
Yuetuo Island is rich in Dutch style and is currently building an exotic eco-tourism resort center.
There are many Dutch-style cabins and colorful villas built on the island. The cabins are all built on the water, which is a beautiful landscape. Tourists on the island also stay in cabins and villas.
Warm temperate coastal semi-humid continental monsoon climate, the best time to travel is from September to November.
