The Huang Jiguang Memorial Hall in Chengdong, Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province is located at the foot of Kuishan Mountain, covering an area of 16,000 square meters. It consists of a memorial scenic area, an exhibition area, and an office service area.
Upon entering the memorial hall, one is greeted by three ascending platforms. Atop the 15-meter-high platform stands a sculpture depicting Huang Jiguang's heroic moment as he lunged at an enemy machine gun. This sculpture immortalizes the great soldier's fleeting heroic gesture. Beneath the inscription are five large white marble reliefs. Through depictions of Huang Jiguang's son joining the army, volunteering to fight at Shangganling, the fierce battle at Shangganling, celebrating victory, and remembering the martyrs, they recreate the heroic journey of Huang Jiguang from his enlistment to his heroic sacrifice, calling on young people to cherish the hard-earned peace, tranquility, and happiness of today.
The museum is a national patriotic education demonstration base and a Sichuan provincial patriotic education base, educating generations of young people and inspiring their patriotic enthusiasm.
