In 1995, the private enterprise Sichuan Shengda National Defense Science and Education Industry Co., Ltd. invested over 200 million yuan to begin construction on the Chengdu National Defense Park. It officially opened to the public on June 1, 1998. The grand opening not only featured a unique exhibition of retired weapons but also featured a 150-acre artificial lake, the excavated soil of which was used to create the "Huiling Mountain." This was the province's premier national defense park, boasting stunning views of lakes and mountains.

You can view weapons in the National Defense Park: weapons and equipment can be visited for free, but they are no longer in normal use. The equipment that is preserved now includes missiles, tanks, torpedo boats, cannons, radar vehicles, airplanes, helicopters, rocket models and some other weapons and equipment!

The existing amusement projects in the National Defense Park include: real-life CS field battles, go-karts, aerial speed skating, boating, fishing, mahjong machines, chess and cards, tea garden, football, roller skating, billiards, table tennis, whitewater rafting, happy train, balloon shooting, and other children's entertainment!
