Introducing Park Bo Won Lake

Formerly an agricultural expo park, Pubao Garden, covering over 650 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), is the only municipal-level forest park in the heart of the western Sichuan plain. It is 25 kilometers from downtown Chengdu, 9 kilometers from the county seat, and 0.5 kilometers from the town government. Pubao Garden is adjacent to the Yangma River, whose tributaries flow through the park, forming two lakes. The park is filled with flowing water and winding paths. The garden is shaded by a bamboo forest over 160 years old. Hundreds of Phoebe chinensis, a provincially protected second-level species, cover over 100 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of the park, planted in 1760 during the late Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

The lush, sun-blocking nanmu forest creates a vast, flat forest within a conveniently located human settlement. It also provides habitats for a large number of birds, including egrets, yellow cranes, white cranes, turtledoves, and wild geese, nesting and breeding here. Bird experts have documented over 53 species. Every summer evening, hundreds of migratory birds perch in the treetops, their melodious calls and diverse gestures creating a truly spectacular sight.

The unique water-friendly natural scenery and well-equipped dining and leisure facilities in Park Baoyuan provide tourists with an excellent place for weekend getaways and family gatherings. The Taiwanese-style pedestrian street and the sweet potato vine dishes that blend Taiwanese and local flavors are both exotic experiences not to be missed. The Mongolian barbecue at the rough canteen was introduced from the capital to Sichuan, allowing people to experience the exquisite food culture of the treasure island. In addition, all food ingredients in the area are freshly picked organic vegetables from the nearby Xiangsheng Ecological Organic Farm.
