Jingyin Temple
Located at the highest point of Jigongzui, Jingyin Temple, when viewed from a distance, is built on the comb of a rooster. During the Pre-Song Dynasty (960 AD), Jingyin Temple had already begun to take shape. Originally the Dongyue Temple, it was expanded to include the Main Hall, the Three Saints Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Manjusri Hall, the Samantabhadra Hall, the Fushou Hall, and the Sutra Library. Later, when there was no more land on the mountain for temples, temples were built at the foot of the mountain. During its heyday, temples abounded on both sides of the mountain, with monks and believers flocking to and fro.
Yangqiao and Sheshen Cliff
Yangqiao is located at the Jitou of Jigongzui Mountain. Locals also call it Sheshen Cliff. Sheshen Rock resembles a boat and is located between two isolated peaks. There is a deep valley between the peaks. From a distance, it looks like a natural bridge created by magic. Therefore, later generations also called it "Yangqiao".
Danxia landform landscape of Gujian Mountain
A key component of the Chongqing Qijiang Fossilized Wood and Dinosaur Footprint National Geopark, Danxia landforms are primarily distributed within the Gujian Mountain Scenic Area, encompassing approximately 65 square kilometers, located above 800 meters above sea level in Jigongzui, Xishan, and Changtianshan. Danxia landforms are horizontal red-bed geological structures, formed by long-term weathering, exfoliation, and water erosion of red sandstone from the Jurassic to Tertiary periods. These formations have unique peaks, cliffs, stalagmites, and conglomerate formations, making them of great scientific and ornamental value.
