Baoding, located in the eastern Sichuan Basin, is the main peak of Huaying Mountain. Surrounded by mountains, its shape resembles a tripod, hence the name "Baoding." Since ancient times, it has enjoyed such acclaim as "Baoding is known as Lingji, the highest peak in Huaying," "Overlooking mountains and rivers for a thousand miles, the summit offers a broad perspective," and "East facing Baoding, west facing Emei Mountain." It is one of my country's eight sacred Buddhist sites.
Baoding, with its highest point at 1,590 meters above sea level, is home to over 100 temples, including Guangming Temple, Huanglong Temple, Nanzong Hall, and Guanyin Temple. Renowned for its rich and enduring Buddhist culture, it enjoys the reputation of "facing Emei Mountain in the west and Baoding Mountain in the east." The scenic area boasts over 70 attractions, including Xianhe Cave, Shenxian Cave, Baigu Cave, Qianfoping Stone Forest, Wuchagou Canyon, Maliuyan Waterfall, Wucai Pool, Huanxiping, Sheshen Rock, Guangming Temple, Huanglong Temple, Fuhu Temple, Nanzong Hall, Zhusheng Hall, and Longquan Temple.
