Ningchang Ancient Town is one of the first historical and cultural towns announced by Chongqing City. It is located in Wuxi County, Chongqing. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with quiet and beautiful scenery and simple folk customs. It is also one of the early salt production areas in my country.

The ancient town's buildings, mostly stilted houses supported by slanted timber, are situated along the river, imbued with a unique charm and antique charm. It is a rare example of an authentic ancient village in China. The ancient buildings and dwellings meander along the Houxi River for 3-4 kilometers, commonly known as the "Seven Miles and Half Side Street." Queen's Village, halfway up the mountain in the south, and Peach Blossom Village, atop the mountain in the west, were the bases where He Zizhen, a general under Li Zicheng, fought against the Qing Dynasty. To the east of the town, the Blue Lion and White Elephant Rocks guard it, as well as a group of stone figures resembling human figures, known as the "Eighteen Arhats," the remains of a former stronghold of the White Lotus Rebellion.
