Qingtian County, located in southeastern Zhejiang Province, on the middle and lower reaches of the Oujiang River, is known as "China's Stone Capital and the World's Qingtian." Qingtian boasts crisscrossing valleys, picturesque misty rivers, rolling mountains, and towering peaks. It boasts abundant natural resources and a vibrant array of cultural attractions, each complementing the other.
Qingtian is also a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. Qingtian people have lived abroad for more than 300 years. Overseas Chinese have made indelible contributions to the economic and social development of Qingtian.
Qingtian County has a subtropical monsoon climate zone with distinct four seasons.
Shimendong Forest Park
Surrounded by mountains and lush forests, the caves are tranquil and secluded. The majestic waterfall within is a renowned wonder of southern Zhejiang. Li Qian, a Ming Dynasty poet, praised the scenery of Shimen as "high enough to gaze upon, clear enough to wash in, deep enough to hide, quiet enough to relax, fragrant enough to be collected, and wonderful enough to be chanted."
Qianxia Lake
The completion of the Qianxia Lake Ecotourism Resort will add a new category of fjord and mountain towns to China's tourism destinations, joining other tourism categories such as theme parks, ancient towns, and famous mountains and rivers, providing consumers with a richer vacation experience. The fjord and mountain town holiday tradition originated in Europe, with Switzerland's Lake Geneva, Austria's Hallstatt, and the Salzburg Lake District all being renowned fjord and mountain town destinations.
Taihe Mountain
"Why seek the immortal realm? This mountain was originally the home of cranes." During the Tang Dynasty, the Qingxi Taoist priest Ye Fashan once lived in seclusion here, raising cranes, practicing divination, refining elixirs, and practicing swordsmanship, ultimately achieving enlightenment and becoming an immortal. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang praised him as "a celestial crane ascending to heaven." Since then, Taihe Mountain has been known as "a paradise on earth." The most striking feature is the "One River, Two Stones" motif. The "One River" refers to the Oujiang River, which runs through Qingtian; the "Two Stones" refer to the Shimen Cave, a renowned provincial scenic spot, and the world-renowned Qingtian stone carvings, a site steeped in history.
