Located in Qilong Village, Hechuan District, Chongqing, the Hechuan Gulou Red Maple Forest boasts 1,000 acres of American-modified red maples. After years of cultivation, it has become a popular spot for viewing the autumn leaves. October is the ideal time to enjoy the red maples.

In view of the large number of tourists and heavy traffic during the previous two Red Maple Festivals, the scenic area improved its infrastructure, upgraded the Red Maple Observation Deck and the Jacaranda Observation Deck, renovated the 6.4-kilometer sightseeing loop within the core scenic area, built more than 20 new leisure trails, expanded the red maple forest by 120 acres, and uniformly planned stalls selling local specialties and rural delicacies.
