With an average elevation of 1,300 meters and a peak of 1,980 meters, the scenic area is renowned for its oldest known scars on Earth—cracks in the cliffs caused by violent crustal movement—earning it the nickname "China's Most Dynamic Canyon." The Ten-Mile Grand Canyon, the core of the scenic area, is majestic and magnificent, with its rock formations and gurgling streams at the bottom. Bodaoling

A massive rock face, approximately 1,000 meters long and averaging about 90 meters in height, plunges from its peak to the valley floor. Composed of limestone from the Changxing Formation of the Late Permian Period of the Paleozoic Era, dating back 260 million years, close observation reveals the remains of seabed rocks millions of years old, offering a vivid glimpse into the transformation of the sea into the earth.

Qingtian Gorge

Located in the lower section of the scenic canyon, this 1,500-meter-long canyon is 2-5 meters wide and is known as a natural fissure. The cliffs on either side of the canyon rise 200-300 meters, and only a sliver of skylight is visible above. Within the fissure, bizarre rocks and stalactites abound. In places, the two cliffs are only a few feet apart, creating a breathtaking visual experience. Exploring the area is a breathtaking experience, filled with a sense of tranquility and wonder.

The pit

Located at the end of the Qingtianxia fissure, this cave is the entrance to an underground river, approximately ten meters in diameter. Water from the Wuling Mountain Great Rift Valley (Shijiagou) flows through the Qingtianxia fissure and into this cave. British expedition leader Brown visited this cave twice, exploring the deep pit for four days and four nights without reaching its end. The waterfall formed by the underground river in the cave is 34 meters high and 30 meters wide, making it the largest underground river waterfall discovered in China.
