The square's relief sculptures cover a total area of ​​844.28 square meters, a feat worthy of being called "the largest in China." The square also features a large fountain, the centerpiece of which shoots water over 100 meters high, the highest onshore fountain in China.

Twenty-two Century Pillars, each 1.35 meters in diameter and 11.2 meters high, stand in the square. Two other relief walls, carved from granite and bronze, depict notable prehistoric figures and their achievements, as well as Tanggu's centuries-long history and major achievements.
