Introducing Villa Mahler

Mahler Villa, located at the corner of Yan'an Middle Road and Shaanxi South Road, is a Nordic-style garden villa completed in 1936. Legend has it that the design of this house was based on a dream of Mahler's beloved youngest daughter, the owner of the garden at the time. It took seven years to build .

The interior decoration of the main building of Mahler Villa is very exquisite. The aisles, corridors, etc. are equipped with wall panels and are carved with beautiful and exquisite patterns everywhere. The indoor dome is equipped with stained glass, which presents colorful and soft colors under the sunlight.

This building embodies the classic Norwegian architectural style, featuring tall, steep roofs to protect against cold Nordic winds and reduce snow accumulation. The south facade of the main building features three elegantly shaped, intricately decorated gable roofs perpendicular to the main ridge, along with four dormer windows. Together with the two hipped roofs to the east and west, the building resembles a magnificent small palace.
