Yunxiang Temple, located at the end of Nanxiang Town's Old Street, was originally named " Baihe Nanxiang Temple . " The town's name comes from this ancient temple. The temple is grand and tranquil, offering opportunities for worship and sightseeing. The solemn atmosphere and tranquil environment are truly spiritual.

In ancient times, Yunxiang Temple was renowned throughout Jiangnan and enjoyed considerable veneration. However, due to various natural and man-made disasters, the only remaining testaments to its history are a pair of pagodas, a Tang Dynasty stone pagoda, and the Song Dynasty Putong Pagoda scattered within Guyi Garden. Today's Yunxiang Temple, rebuilt on the site of its predecessor, is a complete replica of a Tang Dynasty temple, a rare sight in Jiangnan.

The entire temple is constructed of reinforced concrete and wood-like materials, creating a grand yet simple and natural atmosphere. The main halls are arranged along the central axis: the Mountain Gate, Guanyin Hall, Main Hall, and Sutra Library. Symmetrically arranged on the left and right are the Jialan Hall, Mahasthamaprapta Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Manjusri Hall, Samantabhadra Hall, Upper Guest Hall, and monks' quarters, surrounded by corridors. Furthermore, underground are the Merit Hall and the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall.
