
Mu'en Church, also known as " Mu'en Church , " means "bathed in the grace of God. " Located at the intersection of Jiujiang Road and No. 316 Xizang Middle Road in Huangpu District , facing People's Square , it is a Christian church with a tall bell tower.
Built in 1929 , Mu'en Church is a brick and wood structure in the popular American Collegiate Gothic style. A tower stands in the southwest corner of the lobby. Atop the tower, a five-meter-tall neon cross stands out, dazzling at night and a major attraction in People's Square.
The designer of the Muen Church was the famous Austro-Hungarian Czech architect Hudec. The church is particularly eye-catching under the night light and has become a major landscape of the People's Square.
