
The Chen Yun Memorial Hall, located in Liantang Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, is nestled between the Shihe River to the north and Xitang Harbor to the south. Its name was inscribed by Jiang Zemin. It is a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base and a Shanghai Patriotic Education Base.
The memorial hall consists of the main hall, Chen Yun's former residence, and ancillary facilities. It comprises three floors: two above ground and one underground. The architectural design reflects the characteristics of the Jiangnan region, maintaining a consistent and harmonious style with Chen Yun's former residence and surrounding folk architecture. At the same time, it maintains the large scale of a modern memorial hall, creating a simple and solemn atmosphere.
The entire pavilion area is elegant and tranquil, with pavilions interlaced, green shadows swaying, and an artificial river meandering. It has both the simple and elegant garden style and the majestic modern style.
