The Shanghai Fire Museum, located at 207 West Zhongshan Road in Changning District , is a leading domestic and world-class professional museum. It aims to showcase the history of Shanghai's firefighting program while fostering self-protection awareness among young people and strengthening public awareness of fire safety.
The Fire Museum currently has a collection of more than 21,000 items , including many modern Shanghai firefighting relics of great historical value, such as early personal firefighting equipment, fire trucks and automated firefighting devices. Through the displays in various exhibition areas, visitors can have a comprehensive understanding of the Shanghai firefighting cause from its conception, development to its glorious leap.
The museum also features a multifunctional Fire Science and Technology Education Experience Hall, utilizing world-class high-tech exhibits, including a dynamic 4D cinema, a virtual escape experience space, and an interactive virtual fire laboratory. The " Mysterious Fire " exhibit on the second floor utilizes the most advanced smoke diffusion simulation model in China to help students understand smoke diffusion patterns and learn the correct methods for escaping a fire.
