Square Park, also known as Yanzhong Green, is a large public green space on Yan'an Middle Road, located at the junction of Jing'an, Luwan, and Huangpu districts. The park preserves historical monuments such as the site of the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Common People's Girls' School, and features a large waterfall, a winding pool, and a North American-style pavilion.

The green space is organized into three sections. The southern section showcases historical and cultural heritage, centered around the site of the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Civilian Girls' School. Surrounding the area are a forest of bald cypress, red clover, and holly, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere. The central section, an urban forest, features undulating terrain. The plantings are primarily tall trees, interspersed with various flowering shrubs and lawns, creating a beautiful landscape with staggered heights, orderly density, and rich layers. A large paper mulberry tree, preserved through scientific methods, is thriving and a major feature of the green space.

The northern part of the park is a natural landscape space, featuring a large rockery, waterfalls, and rare flowers and trees. A bamboo forest grows to the east, while pines and cypresses flourish on the mountain, reflected by maple trees. A pond at the foot of the mountain offers a sense of wildness. A cherry blossom path and a beech tree-lined avenue create a spectacular and beautiful " urban forest " landscape. Yanzhong Green Space offers a sense of closeness to nature for those who have lived in the city for a long time.
