Introducing Minhang Park

Shanghai Minhang Park is located at 249 Humin Road, bordering Hengjing Port to the east, Humin Road to the west, and Minhang Middle School and the Shanghai Honored Veterans Sanatorium to the north and south, respectively. The park covers 60,800 square meters, has a staff of 39, and receives 238,200 visitors annually.

The park features a trellis corridor, a large rockery bonsai, a monkey mountain, a lotus pond, a mushroom pavilion, and rockery. Tall trees, seasonal flowers, and varying hedges create distinct spaces. An activity area is located in the west, while the east features earthen hills, dense forests, lawns, flower paths, streams, and a fish pond. To the northeast, a 3,300-square-meter cluster of formal flower beds features a variety of roses. A monkey house is located in the east, where visitors can observe the monkeys on the mountain from the second-floor platform. The activity area offers children's entertainment facilities, including bumper cars, a miniature train, electric cars, ocean balls, rocking horses, horse-drawn carts, an aerial airplane, and racing cars. It was one of the first parks in Shanghai to offer free admission. It has been awarded the titles of Shanghai Double-Excellence Park and Shanghai "Seven Nos" Civilized Park.

A youth activity area is located to the west of the garden, while to the east, earthen hills, dense forests, lawns, flower paths, streams, and fish ponds are featured. A curved green corridor, 34 meters long and 3.9 meters wide, features a reinforced concrete frame with vines entwined on top, and terrazzo benches and a flat floor beneath. A circular concrete platform, 0.4 meters above ground level, covering 227 square meters, is located to the east of the corridor. A 12.56-square-meter circular landscape bonsai is placed on the platform, its base 0.9 meters high. A rockery made of axe-cut stone stands approximately 3 meters tall, creating a beautiful shape. Low brick walls line the north and south sides of the platform, and a small curved pond is situated to the west.
