
Jinze, located in the southwestern part of Qingpu District, is the district's most southwestern town. Jinze Town is 22 kilometers from Qingpu City and 66 kilometers from downtown Shanghai. It borders Dianshan Lake to the north, Xicen Town to the east, Shangta Town to the west, and the Taipu River to the south, at Dashun Town, Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province. To the west, it borders Luxu Town, Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province, along National Highway 318. A north-south river flows through the town, with numerous tributaries flowing into it. Near Xiatang Street, a 350-meter stretch of river features five ancient bridges, spanning the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. This is why it's often said that "the ancient bridges of four dynasties are connected by a single thread."
Jinze Township, once home to 42 rainbow bridges within its 0.6 square kilometers, still boasts seven well-preserved ancient bridges.
