Introducing Yongan Tower

Yong'an Tower, located in Anting Old Street, Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, is a landmark building of Anting Old Street. It is located at the east end of Bodhi Temple and Yansi Bridge, and at the intersection of Sijing River and Antingjing River.

In the second year of Chiwu in the Three Kingdoms period, there was a Bodhi Temple in Anting. Legend has it that it was built for the mother of Sun Quan, the King of Wu. To the east of the temple, there was an ancient tower built across the Anting Jingyuan, named Yong'an Tower.

This tower has a history of 1,800 years. On one side, the Bodhi Temple, known as the thousand-year-old temple, stands quietly guarding it. At its feet, the North and South Antingjing and Yansijing rivers flow slowly. The tower, temple, bridge and river here constitute the iconic buildings of Anting Old Street.
