Tianshan Park is located at 1731 West Yan'an Road, Shanghai. The park originally covered 72,000 square meters. In 1998, 4,300 square meters of land was expropriated for the construction of the Mingzhu Line and the widening of West Yan'an Road. The park now covers 68,000 square meters, including 16,700 square meters of water and 12,400 square meters of lawn. The park boasts a sophisticated layout and a tranquil environment, featuring mountains, lakes, ponds, and islands.
The park is dominated by Hulu Lake, with Fengguang Island in the northeast of the lake and Luanshan and Rongshan lying behind the island. Pavilions, terraces, corridors and bridges are set up around the lake, forming a garden landscape with beautiful lake and mountain scenery.
The park's perimeter is primarily planted with white elm, maple poplar, and camphor, interspersed with hardy species such as coral trees, oleander, and goldenrod. The 50-meter path inside the main gate is lined with evergreen magnolias, while other paths are lined with sycamores. Flower beds are arranged around the large lawn. Camphor, white elm, and privet trees are planted on Rongshan Mountain to highlight the mountain's height. At the foot of the mountain, olive trees, mosquito trees, yuccas, and spherical plants are clustered. Flowering shrubs such as camellias, osmanthus, and azaleas are planted along the stone paths and paths. Yellow jasmine and other plants are planted on both sides of the stone arch bridge. The park's flower beds cover a total area of 474 square meters. The park boasts 9,265 trees of 126 species. The tree-to-shrub ratio is 1:4.14, and the evergreen-to-deciduous ratio is 1:0.25.
