West Sheshan boasts over 800 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares) of forestland, with its main peak reaching 100.8 meters above sea level. Attractions within the park include a Catholic pilgrimage site, the Fourteen Stations of the Cross statues along the "Jingzhe Road," the Xiudaozhe Pagoda, the Congdaozhe (Wise Taoist) Pagoda, and the Tiger Tree Pavilion. The renowned Sheshan Observatory and Seismological Observatory are also located on West Sheshan. This makes it the most picturesque and unique forest park among the nine peaks of Sheshan.

The Basilica of Our Lady of Sheshan, also known as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Far East, is a Catholic church, on par with the Basilica of Our Lady of Rhodes in France. Construction began in 1871 by French missionaries and was completed in 1935. It integrates various architectural styles, featuring a structure devoid of wood, nails, steel, or beams, making it a model of asymmetry. Since the 1940s, it has been a world-renowned Catholic shrine and a major Catholic pilgrimage site in China.

Atop Xishe Mountain stands a towering Catholic nave. Inside, an altar houses images of the Holy Spirit and can accommodate over 500 people. In front of the nave, a circular plaza, seating 1,000, offers panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. To the west of the plaza, on the hillside, lies a spacious open space housing the Sacred Heart of Jesus Pavilion, the Our Lady Pavilion, and the Joseph Pavilion, collectively known as the "Three Saints Pavilions."

The Xiu Daozhe Tower is located on the eastern slope of Xishe Mountain. It was built during the Taiping Xingguo period of the Song Dynasty. The tower has 8 sides, 7 levels, and is more than 20 meters high. It is a brick and wood structure pavilion-style tower. Legend has it that there was a practitioner named "Xiu" who lived in seclusion here. After the tower was built, he set it on fire, so it was called the Xiu Daozhe Tower.
