Introducing Nalati Scenic Area
The grasslands of the Nalati Scenic Area have been named one of China's six most beautiful grasslands by China National Geographic and are considered one of the four largest grasslands in the world, with a subalpine meadow flora. Located on the northern slopes of the Nalati Mountains, this mid-mountain grassland developed on ancient alluvial deposits from the Tertiary Period. Since ancient times, it has been a scene of interplay of renowned river valleys, peaks, deep gorges, and forests.
After June each year, large herds of livestock migrate in, ushering in the grasslands' golden season. Many gatherings of grassland people are held here, and locals can also experience Kazakh folk customs.
