In October 2005, Shandong Province announced its "Top Ten Golden Week Tourist Attractions," with the Shendiaoshan Wildlife Nature Reserve ranked among the top ten in the "Urban Parks and Amusement Parks" category. The excellent natural environment and favorable climatic conditions here are ideal habitats for a wide variety of animals, and most of the animals in the reserve are able to reproduce and thrive within the area. Other attractions within the reserve include the Jade Guanyin Temple, the Guandi Temple, the remains of Qin Shihuang's "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," and the Xiazhu Temple, commissioned by Emperor Wu of Han. In the Shendiaoshan Wildlife Nature Reserve, visitors can play with macaques, shake hands with seals, ask for a gentle kiss from sea lions, take photos side by side with bears, and even ride horses and ride the wind! When you visit here, you can listen to the roars of tigers and lions, hear the cries of monkeys and the chirping of birds, watch bears fight leopards and hunt, watch monkeys play, see sea lions and seals swimming, and enjoy the performances of elf dolphins. You can feel the beauty of the creation of heaven and earth, and touch the vastness of the ocean, giving people the feeling of "experiencing wildness and returning to nature."
Rongcheng is located in the warm temperate monsoon humid climate zone with distinct four seasons and a pleasant climate.
