Shanxiayang Village is located 10 kilometers northwest of Songyang County, Zhejiang Province. Its layout resembles a maze of eight trigrams, with rows of old houses and winding alleys. Shanxiayang Village has a rigorous and rational overall layout, imbued with the Taoist philosophy of "harmony between man and nature" everywhere. It is the most complete planned ancient village in Songyang to date, and has extremely high historical and cultural value for the study of the development of Songyang architecture.
