Characterized by its quaint, primitive, rugged, desolate, and folk-inspired aesthetic, the film city features numerous scenic spots, including the Ming Dynasty City, the Qing Dynasty City, and Old Yinchuan Street, among others.


Zhenbeibao Western Film Studio features two ancient castles, one in the south and one in the north. Named Zhenbeibao and Zhennanbao, both face east.
