The Tunxi Old Bridge, also known as the Zhenhai Bridge, is located at the confluence of the Xin'an River , the Lushui River, and the Hengjiang River in Tunxi, Huangshan City . Straddling the Hengjiang River estuary, it runs east-west through Tunxi Old Street and Liyang Ancient Town, serving as the gateway to and from Tunxi. Tunxi boasts two well-preserved architectural landmarks: Tunxi Old Street and the Tunxi Old Bridge.

Built during the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty ( 1488-1505 ), this ancient bridge boasts a history of over 500 years. This stone arch bridge, spanning the southern end of Hengjiang River and facing Sanjiangkou, features six arched piers with pointed diverters that resemble axes, splitting the streams and mountain torrents flowing from Mount Huangshan, both protecting the bridge and diverting water.

Despite the vicissitudes of life and over 500 years, it remains strong and indestructible. If you go down to the surface of the water during the dry season and look up at the towering bridge, you will be amazed by its majestic height.
