Xucun Town is located in the northwest of She County, 21 kilometers from the county seat . Legend has it that Ren Fang, a great Southern Dynasty writer and prefect of Xin'an, once lived in seclusion here. Ren Fang enjoyed fishing in the village's eastern creek, so Xucun was formerly known as Fangxi. After the Tang Dynasty, the Xu family relocated here, and the name was changed to Xucun.

Xu Village is nestled beside a stream, with an ancient street stretching for miles along the water. Over 200 well-preserved buildings from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties remain .
