Hefei Grand Theatre, located west of the Science and Technology Green Axis in Hefei's New Government and Cultural District, consists of two underground floors and six above-ground floors. It comprises three core spaces: the main theatre and opera hall in the middle, a concert hall to the north, and a multi-purpose hall to the south.
The concert hall can meet the performance requirements of various large-scale symphony concerts. The 975 -seat auditorium is distributed around the stage. The entire theater has been perfectly designed and constructed with acoustics and stage equipment. 17 circular translucent sound-reflecting panels are installed above the stage , delivering natural and beautiful melodies to every corner of the theater.
The opera house, as a comprehensive theater, can accommodate 1,515 spectators. The auditorium is divided into three floors. Its overall technical functions reach world-class standards, which fully meet the different needs of musicals, operas, ballets, dramas and comprehensive cultural performances.
The multi-functional hall is the smallest of the three halls, accommodating 456 spectators. The theater can realize five main combination transformations, namely, it can be used as a flat hall, a small theater, a convex stage, a T- shaped stage and a central stage. It can perform local operas, dramas, plays, stage plays, small concerts, etc.
