Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur
I thought Air Asia operated a service three times a week to Labuan Bajo but there doesn’t seem to be any flights to book in July. Is anyone aware of whether Air Asia haven’t yet issued their schedule or if this route has been discontinued?

I see an airline also starting direct flights from Singapore so perhaps a plan b.

Jetstar has announced flights twice a week starting on March 20th from Singapore to Labuan Bajo.
There are no direct flights between KUL and LBJ after March 29. I sent AirAsia an email to inquire if these flights would be extended past March 29 but have not received a response yet.
Edited: 10:58 am, January 13, 2025Usually the "summer" season for flights start in April. When flights aren't available yet 3 months before is not a good thing but we don't know why. Maybe they still negotiate about the slots of Komodo Airport.
However, not surprising for Flores since timetables change about every couple of months.
I will withhold my booking of April flights for another month or two. I see there are frequent flights between DPS and LBJ/ KUL so hopefully price won’t go up too much for late booking of connecting flights in case there is still no direct flights for April.

I have now found an official looking document that seems to confirm (page 26) that Komodo airport is among 38 airports where visa on arrival can be used. That was a lot more airports than what is found on mosts lists of relevant airports.
