Full Irish Breakfast

Hello,

If anyone knows where to get a full Irish breakfast please let us know. Staying near Forsyth Park but willing to go anywhere in Savannah if we can find one.

Thanks!

Finding a true, traditional full Irish breakfast in Savannah can be a little challenging, as it’s not something most local restaurants offer on their standard menus. However, there are a few places where you can get something very close, or at least a hearty Irish-inspired breakfast that includes several of the classic components like sausages, rashers, eggs, beans, and hearty breads.

Here are the best options in Savannah for an Irish-style or Irish-inspired breakfast experience:

  • O’Connell’s Irish Pub – While primarily a pub and not always open for morning meals, they occasionally offer special brunch menus or holiday-themed breakfasts that come close to a traditional Irish spread. It’s worth calling ahead to see if they’re offering any breakfast service during your stay.
  • Six Pence Pub – A well-known British/Irish-style pub in the Historic District. Their regular menu leans more British-American, but their brunch options often include items such as eggs, bangers, grilled tomatoes, and toast. It’s not a full Irish breakfast with black pudding, but it’s the closest reliable pub-style option in town.
  • The Collins Quarter (two locations, including Forsyth Park) – Not Irish, but excellent for a rich, filling breakfast. If what you want is the “big breakfast experience,” they serve hearty protein-heavy plates, proper coffee, and quality sausages. While not traditional Irish, it's the top choice for anyone wanting something substantial within walking distance of your lodging.

If you specifically want the full Irish components (especially black pudding, white pudding, rashers, and Irish-style sausages), your best strategy is:

  • Check with Irish pubs ahead of time to see if they are offering a special menu—this sometimes happens around weekends or Irish holidays.
  • Look for brunch pop-ups, which Savannah’s pub scene occasionally hosts. These sometimes offer UK/Irish breakfast plates.

Unfortunately, Savannah does not currently have a dedicated Irish café that serves a full Irish breakfast daily. However, for the closest atmosphere and flavors, Six Pence Pub is generally the top recommendation, and for a high-quality, filling breakfast near Forsyth Park, Collins Quarter is a strong and convenient alternative.

Enjoy Savannah, and hope you find something that hits the spot!
