MGM buffet discount for Gold/Platinum

When I go to MGM Borgata, regular price is $39.99. If you have Gold/Platinum, you can pay $12.50 comp which is awesome deal. Is there something like this in Vegas?

Not using MyVegas but using your comp as Gold/Platinum member.

In Las Vegas, many of the major casino resorts offer buffet discounts for loyalty program members, similar to what you mentioned for Borgata in Atlantic City. MGM Resorts, which includes properties like MGM Grand, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and Aria, has a tiered loyalty program called M life Rewards (recently rebranded as MGM Rewards). Gold and Platinum members can indeed receive significant discounts or comp offers at certain buffets.

Here’s how it generally works:

  • Gold members often get a set discount on buffet pricing, sometimes around 25-50% off the regular price, depending on the property and day of the week.
  • Platinum members usually get even deeper discounts, or in some cases, the buffet may be comped for them after using points or showing their tier card.
  • Some buffets also have time-specific deals, such as discounted lunch or early dinner pricing, which can be combined with tier benefits.

Additional tips:

  • Check in advance on the MGM Rewards website or via the mobile app for your specific tier benefits at the buffet you plan to visit.
  • Some promotions may require you to use reward credits or present your tier card at the buffet entrance.
  • Properties like Bellagio, MGM Grand, and Aria are usually part of these tiered buffet discounts, but it’s always good to call ahead as offers can change seasonally or for special events.

So yes, similar to Borgata, you can take advantage of MGM Rewards Gold/Platinum perks in Las Vegas for a substantial buffet discount, often making it much cheaper than the standard $39-50 range.
