MetroLink

Hi--I plan to take the MetroLink to/from the airport. Will be travelling late morning both ways and using the Stadium stop to/from the airport. Will it be safe to do so? Any additional information is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Taking the MetroLink in St. Louis from the airport to the Stadium stop is a common choice for travelers, especially during daytime hours. Late morning travel is generally considered safe, as this is outside of peak commuter rush and the trains are usually moderately busy with airport travelers and locals. As with any urban transit system, general awareness and basic safety precautions are recommended.

Here are some details and tips to help ensure a smooth trip:

  • The Airport Terminal Station is directly connected to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, so you can board immediately after collecting luggage.
  • The trip to the Stadium Station takes roughly 30–35 minutes, with trains running about every 15–20 minutes late morning.
  • Stadium Station is adjacent to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village, and the area is typically active and well-lit during daytime hours.

Safety and convenience tips:

  • Keep personal belongings close, especially when the train is moderately busy.
  • Use official MetroLink signage and entrances; avoid deserted areas of the station.
  • If you have luggage, the train cars have designated areas for bags and are usually monitored by Metro personnel or transit police during the day.
  • Consider checking the train schedule in advance to minimize wait times on the platform.

Overall, using MetroLink late morning to/from the airport and Stadium Station is a convenient and safe option. Just practice normal urban transit awareness, and you should have a smooth ride both ways.
