I will be in Atlanta this coming week. I’ll be staying at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Centenial Park. Will most likely just be travelling with carry on baggage. Is the MARTA rail a good, safe way to travel there and what’s the best stop to get off of? Any suggestions for alternate transportation at a reasonable cost?
Thanks.
The MARTA rail is a great, affordable, and safe option for traveling from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to the Hyatt Place Atlanta Centennial Park. It's a direct and efficient way to get into the heart of downtown Atlanta without having to worry about parking or dealing with heavy traffic. Here's how you can do it:
MARTA Rail: MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) is a safe and convenient public transportation system in Atlanta. If you're traveling with just carry-on baggage, the MARTA rail will be comfortable and efficient for you. The trains are generally safe, especially during the day, but like any public transport system, it's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings, especially during off-peak hours.
Best MARTA Stop: To reach the Hyatt Place Atlanta Centennial Park, you should take the MARTA Blue or Green Line from the Airport station (located at the lower level of the terminal). The best stop to get off at is the Civic Center Station, which is one of the closest stops to your hotel.
Alternate Transportation: If you're looking for other options, there are a few affordable and convenient alternatives for transportation from the airport to your hotel:
Final Thoughts: MARTA is probably your best bet for a convenient, cost-effective, and reliable way to get to your hotel from the airport. It’s quick, relatively easy to navigate, and avoids the hassle of traffic and parking. Just remember to check the MARTA schedule and be mindful of any changes in service, especially if you're traveling during off-peak hours or holidays. If you prefer a more private or faster mode of transport, Uber or Lyft are also solid options at a reasonable cost.
