Hello everyone.
In all of our visits, I always plan to use happy hours but then never seem to fit them in! Going to try to make a concerted effort next trip though. However a lot of them seem to mention you have to be at the bar. Does this mean physically at the bar on a barstool, or just sitting somewhere on a table close to the bar? I am not sure my wife will go for eating on a bar!
Happy hours in Las Vegas often come with the stipulation that you need to be seated at the bar, but this typically refers to sitting at the actual bar counter. Some places may allow you to be seated at a nearby table or high-top near the bar, but to qualify for happy hour discounts, many bars will require you to be seated directly at the bar itself, especially if the discount is specifically for bar seating. This is more of a rule for tracking orders and ensuring that the happy hour deals apply to customers who are actively participating in the bar experience.
However, the exact interpretation can vary depending on the venue. Some places are more flexible and may allow you to sit at a nearby table or lounge area as long as you’re ordering drinks from the bar. If your wife isn’t comfortable sitting at the bar, you could always ask the server or bartender when you arrive if it's possible to sit near the bar while still receiving the happy hour discounts. Here are a few options for navigating the situation:
If you want to make sure you're maximizing your happy hour experience without having to sit at the bar, it's a good idea to call ahead or check the venue's website to see their specific policies. Either way, happy hour in Vegas is a great way to enjoy discounted drinks and bites, and there are usually plenty of flexible options to fit your preference for seating!
