Where to stay in NSB?

Hello from Scotland. We are coming over next summer to visit our Son who has just enrolled at Stetson University. Planning to spend a week in NSB & will be aiming for a beachside apartment with a pool. Are there any particular areas of the town that people would recommend in terms of proximity to a nice beach, bars & restaurants? Thank you.

How exciting that you’ll be visiting New Smyrna Beach (NSB) next summer! It’s a charming beach town with a relaxed atmosphere, great dining, and a beautiful shoreline. If you’re looking for a beachside apartment with a pool, there are several areas of NSB that would be perfect for your stay. Here’s a breakdown of the best areas in town for proximity to nice beaches, bars, and restaurants:

  • Flagler Avenue Area: This is one of the most popular areas for visitors. Flagler Avenue is lined with bars, restaurants, and boutique shops, making it a vibrant part of the town. You’ll be just a short walk from the beach, and there are plenty of rental properties and beachfront apartments with pools in this area. The vibe here is lively, especially in the evening, so if you enjoy being close to the action, this is a great choice.
  • South Atlantic Avenue: This area runs along the beach and has several oceanfront properties with pools. It's quieter compared to Flagler Avenue but still close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shops. This area offers easy access to the beach and is a bit more relaxed, perfect for a more peaceful stay with the convenience of being near everything.
  • Sea Woods Area: If you’re looking for something a little more secluded but still with easy access to both the beach and the town, the Sea Woods area might be a great fit. It’s a residential neighborhood just off South Atlantic Avenue, and you’ll find several condos and apartments with access to pools and lush, tropical landscapes. It’s just a short walk or bike ride to the beach and a few minutes to the dining and shopping options on Flagler Avenue.
  • Coronado Beach: Located slightly further south from the main NSB beach area, Coronado Beach is a peaceful spot with a relaxed vibe and beautiful sandy shores. If you want to be near quieter beaches and still enjoy access to NSB’s attractions, this might be a great option. There are some lovely beachside vacation rentals here, though it’s slightly more laid-back compared to Flagler Avenue.

All these areas offer great proximity to the beach, but each has its own unique vibe. Flagler Avenue and South Atlantic Avenue are perfect if you want to be close to the livelier parts of town, while Sea Woods and Coronado Beach offer a bit more tranquility if you're looking for something quieter. Either way, you’ll be close to Stetson University, and you’ll have plenty to explore while enjoying NSB's beautiful beaches, dining, and bars. I hope this helps, and I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time!
