Outrigger Waikiki Club Level

Hi everyone! We are planning a trip for this May and plan to stay at the Outrigger Waikiki. Has anyone who stayed there upgraded to the Club Level and felt like it was worth the money? Thanks in advance. I have been to Oahu many times, but never have stayed at this hotel and have always wanted to be right in that spot. Have a good day!

The Outrigger Waikiki is a fantastic location, right on the beach in the heart of Waikiki, and staying there will give you an unbeatable view and access to the area's best attractions. Regarding the Club Level upgrade, it can definitely be worth it for certain guests, but it depends on your preferences and what you're looking for during your stay. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide:

  • Benefits of Club Level:

The Club Level at Outrigger Waikiki offers several perks that might make it a worthwhile upgrade:

    • Exclusive access to the Club Lounge: The lounge is a nice spot to relax and enjoy a selection of complimentary beverages, snacks, and light meals throughout the day, such as continental breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening appetizers.
    • Personalized service: Club Level guests tend to receive more attentive service, including early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability), which can be very convenient if your flight times don’t align with the standard check-in/out schedule.
    • Beautiful Views and Prime Location: Depending on your room, you may get upgraded to a better view, possibly an oceanfront or partial ocean view, which adds to the overall value of your stay.
    • Extra Comforts: You may receive amenities like turndown service and access to concierge staff who can assist with reservations, tours, or local recommendations.
  • Is it Worth the Money?

The Club Level upgrade at Outrigger Waikiki comes with a significant price increase, so it’s essential to consider whether the amenities and extras align with your vacation needs. Here are some points to think about:

    • If you value convenience: The availability of snacks, drinks, and breakfast items without leaving the property can be very convenient, especially if you have a busy schedule or prefer staying in. The lounge also provides a quiet spot to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas of the hotel.
    • If you're on a longer stay: If you're staying for a week or longer, the value of the lounge’s offerings might feel more worthwhile. Having access to breakfast and light snacks can save you money on dining and give you a bit more flexibility on how you spend your day.
    • If you have children: The availability of light meals and snacks in the Club Lounge could be convenient if you're traveling with kids, as it saves you from having to constantly go out for food or deal with the stress of finding quick bites.
  • Alternatives:

If the cost of the Club Level seems like it might not be worth it for you, there are plenty of fantastic dining and shopping options within walking distance of the Outrigger Waikiki, so you won’t feel deprived of convenience or luxury. Many guests love the nearby beachfront restaurants like Duke’s Waikiki, or you could try the ABC Stores for quick snacks and meals.

  • Guest Feedback:

Many guests who have stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Club Level report a very positive experience, especially when it comes to the convenience of having a quieter lounge area and the personalized attention from staff. However, there are also guests who feel that the cost of the upgrade doesn’t offer enough value considering how much time they spend out exploring the island, rather than lounging at the hotel.

Overall, whether the Club Level is worth it for you depends on how much you value the extra amenities and convenience. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel or appreciate having additional services and quiet spaces, it could enhance your experience. However, if you’re mainly interested in exploring Oahu and don’t mind stepping outside for meals, you might prefer to stick with a standard room and enjoy the many nearby attractions.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your stay at the Outrigger Waikiki – it’s a beautiful spot!
