Condos rental

We are looking for a place to stay in May preferably beach view/access. This will be our first time to Maui(Kauai has been our heart) I am not a fan of staying at condos/hotels that have more than 4 floors. Having a beach that is good for snorkeling/swimming, sunbathing, prefer the south side. Any suggestions would be appreciated price range under $300 night if possible as long as it has a bed, shower, coffee pot and clean is all we need thanks in advance

It sounds like you're looking for a relaxed, beachfront experience on the south side of Maui with a few specific preferences for your accommodations. The good news is that there are several condo options in Maui that fit your criteria! Below are a few suggestions that match your desire for a beach view/access, a smaller property (less than 4 floors), and a clean, affordable stay.

Here are a few areas and properties to consider in your price range:

  • Kihei: This area is known for its laid-back vibe and beautiful beaches, making it a great base for snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing. There are several affordable condos that meet your requirements.
    • Kamaole Sands: A well-known property in Kihei, offering 1- and 2-bedroom condos with full kitchens. It’s close to Kamaole Beach Park III, which is great for swimming and snorkeling. The property has a low-rise building (only 4 floors) and is typically in your price range during the off-season.
    • Maalaea Banyans: A small, beachfront complex located in Maalaea (a quiet area just south of Kihei). It’s a great spot for snorkeling, and the condos are budget-friendly. The beach access is right out the door, and the complex is no taller than 3 floors.
  • Wailea: This is a more upscale area, but there are still some affordable options, especially if you book early or during less peak periods. Wailea Beach is stunning, and the area offers excellent snorkeling spots.
    • Wailea Ekolu Village: A low-rise property (2 floors) located in Wailea with great views of the ocean. The condos here offer full kitchens, lanais, and easy access to the nearby beaches for snorkeling. It may be on the higher end of your price range but is often a great deal if booked in advance.
  • South Kihei: South Kihei is home to many affordable beachfront condos, with easy access to good snorkeling beaches like Kamaole I, II, and III.
    • Kamaole Beach Club: A low-rise (3 stories) condo complex right across the street from Kamaole Beach Park II. It’s a quiet spot with easy access to swimming and snorkeling. The condos are clean, simple, and affordable, often under $300 per night.
    • Aston at the Maui Banyan: This is another good option in Kihei, with easy access to Kamaole Beach I. It's a larger complex but still has a relaxed atmosphere and lower floors available. The amenities are basic, but it’s a great location and affordable, especially for a longer stay.

Other helpful tips:

  • Booking in advance: May is considered shoulder season in Maui, so you might be able to find some great deals on condos, especially if you book early.
  • Check for deals: Websites like VRBO, Airbnb, or direct rental properties may have discounts or special offers for off-season bookings, so it’s worth comparing prices.
  • Snorkeling Beaches: As mentioned, some of the best snorkeling spots on the south side include Kamaole Beach Park I, II, and III, and you may also want to visit Makena Beach for more quiet spots and excellent snorkeling.

With your preferences in mind, I think any of these options could work well for your trip. Maui has a range of accommodations, and while some may be a bit pricier, the quiet, small condo properties in Kihei and Wailea will give you that relaxing, beach access experience you're looking for without the big hotel feel. Enjoy your time in Maui!
