Traveling to Maui first week of April

Question

Two adults will be in Maui first week of April for eight days. We’ll be either renting an Airbnb or through VRBO. Neither of us have been to Maui before but we have been to the Big Island and Oahu and will also have a rental car.

Any hints or tips to make our trip go smoothly? We enjoy hiking, laying on the beach relaxing, horseback riding, local culture and local crafts. Thanks
