Waikiki Banyan
Hello, I've seen several posts
about parking overnight at the Waikiki Banyan because they have good parking rates.
I am not sure if they still offer this
because I can't really find a website
for Waikiki Banyan
or information on parking.
Does anyone have a link to info they could share?
Thank you
The Waikiki Banyan is a popular vacation rental condominium in Waikiki, and it’s known for offering affordable parking options, which is always a plus in busy areas like Waikiki. However, it seems that information about their parking rates and policies may not always be easily available online, as you’ve noticed. Let me provide you with some helpful details:
Parking at Waikiki Banyan: The Waikiki Banyan does offer parking for guests, and it is often noted for having reasonable rates compared to other parking options in the area. The parking is usually provided in a covered parking garage, which is convenient if you're staying at the property or just need a spot for your vehicle during the day or overnight.
Here are a few things to consider when it comes to parking at Waikiki Banyan:
- Availability: Parking is typically available for guests, but spaces are limited, especially during peak tourist seasons. It’s a good idea to confirm availability when you book your stay or check in, as parking can sometimes fill up quickly.
- Parking Rates: The parking rate is usually more affordable than the public parking garages or street parking in Waikiki, but the exact rate can vary depending on the time of year and availability. Typically, expect to pay around $20-$30 per day, but you’ll want to check directly with the front desk or property management for current rates.
- Reservation: While they may allow you to park without a reservation, securing a parking spot in advance can give you peace of mind, especially during busy times. Some guests recommend calling ahead to ask about parking availability, especially if you’re planning on using the parking garage for an extended period.
Getting More Information: As you mentioned, the Waikiki Banyan doesn’t seem to have a website with comprehensive parking details. Here are a couple of ways to find more information:
- Call the Front Desk: The most direct way to get accurate parking information is to call the Waikiki Banyan front desk. They can provide up-to-date details on parking availability, rates, and policies. You can ask them about overnight parking specifically, as some properties have different rates for overnight guests versus short-term parkers.
- Booking Platforms: If you’re booking through an online platform like Airbnb, Booking.com, or VRBO, check the listing details. Some hosts or property managers include parking information as part of the listing, and you may be able to ask them questions directly through the platform.
- Local Forums and Reviews: For updated, real-time information, sometimes local travel forums like TripAdvisor or Yelp can provide insights from recent guests about parking and any changes to rates or policies. You may also find guest reviews mentioning parking specifics.
Alternative Parking in Waikiki: If you find that parking at the Waikiki Banyan is not available or not ideal for your needs, there are a number of other parking options in Waikiki:
- Public Parking Garages: Waikiki has several public parking garages, some of which may offer competitive rates. The rates typically range from $20 to $40 per day, but they may be more convenient for short-term parking or if you’re looking for a specific location near a tourist attraction.
- Street Parking: Metered street parking is available throughout Waikiki, but it can be difficult to find a spot, especially during busy times. Be sure to check parking signs for any restrictions, as some areas may require payment at certain hours.
- Hotel Parking: Many hotels in the area also offer parking for a fee. The rates can be high, so if you're not staying at the Waikiki Banyan, you might want to compare the rates with other local hotels to find the best deal.
In summary, the Waikiki Banyan does offer parking, but it's a good idea to confirm availability and rates directly with the property, especially if you need a guaranteed spot for overnight parking. You can contact the front desk or property management for the most accurate and up-to-date information on parking availability.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your stay in Waikiki!
