Breakfast near Hyatt Regency Maui
We are staying at the Hyatt next month, and while I don't want to spend $80/day for my husband and I to have breakfast, not much lse is showing up on my google search. Can anyone please suggest some nice spots within either a 15-minute walk or a 10-minute drive?
If you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui in Ka’anapali and want to avoid the resort breakfast prices, there are several excellent local options within a short drive or even a reasonable walk, offering great food at much lower prices.
Within about a 10-minute drive or so:
- Gazebo Restaurant – Located in Napili, this is a Maui classic for breakfast, famous for its macadamia nut pancakes, fried rice, and omelets. Arrive early, as it gets busy, but the view of Napili Bay adds to the experience.
- Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop – Near Lahaina, it offers a casual and charming atmosphere with hearty breakfast sandwiches, fresh pies, and coffee. Perfect for a quick, satisfying breakfast on the go.
- Paia Bay Coffee – Not far if you’re willing to drive a bit, known for great coffee and light breakfast options.
- Island Vintage Coffee – In Whalers Village, near the Hyatt, serves good coffee, acai bowls, and pastries. Quick, casual, and perfect if you want to stay near the resort.
If you’re willing to walk 10–15 minutes:
- Whalers Village eateries – There are a few cafes offering breakfast items, pastries, and coffee that are convenient for resort guests. While not as legendary as Gazebo, they are very walkable and offer decent options at lower cost.
- Dairy Queen / Coffee Shops – Some casual local cafes nearby offer grab-and-go breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee, ideal for a quick start before heading out for the day.
Tips:
- Arrive early at popular spots like Gazebo to avoid long waits.
- Consider picking up local fruit or pastries from a nearby market for a casual breakfast on the go if you prefer to start your day at the beach.
With these options, you can enjoy fresh, tasty breakfasts without paying resort prices while still staying close to the Hyatt Regency Maui.
